MetriServe collects web metrics directly from the browsers of
your visitors. This allows us to track real people and not just
hits or page views as would be the case with server log files.
We still collect web metrics of visitors even if a page on your
web site has been cached by a proxy server or by their own browsers.
How it Works
Insert a single line of Javascript code into the pages
you wish to monitor. When a visitor browses one of these
pages, the JavaScript code will initiate a brief communication
with the MetriServe servers and as a result web metrics
will be aggregated on our servers in real-time. In addition
a cookie that does not contain any personally identifiable
information will be returned.
We Respect the Privacy of your Visitors
MetriServe does not store personally identifiable information
such as IP addresses or cookie IDs from the visitors of your
web site; all web metrics are aggregated on our servers in real-time.
We fully adhere to the W3C
Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P).
Reliable
The MetriServe real-time web analytics service was completely
developed in-house. Designed for 100% uptime it is housed
in a high availability data center with complete redundancy
in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and
security. The redundant network infrastructure is connected
to all major Internet backbones. We exclusively use Red Hat
Enterprise Linux and the latest firewall and intrusion prevention
technologies to get maximum protection from viruses, worms
and unauthorized access.
